Operation in Question:
When creating or editing a Task which has a Custom Field, of type Task, and attempting to search for the desired Task by name by typing it into the field.
Also when just searching from the top right corner, before clicking search, but just viewing the quick list of matching Tasks that show up.
Problem With Operation:
When too many Task names are similar, it doesn't show them all. This is perhaps on purpose, but the real problem is, even if the name is typed EXACTLY, it may still not show up.
Desired Result with Operation:
An exactly matching name should always be included in the list of tasks too choose from when performing this search. It would also be nice if all tasks matching the search would show up as a scrollable list, but as long as the exactly matching task name shows up, that is probably good enough.
_____
Operation #2 In Question:
When creating or editing a Task which has a Custom Field, of type Task, and attempting to search for the desired Task by clicking the button next to the field to bring up all tasks to choose from.
Problem with Operation #2.
On the popup screen of tasks that shows up, there is no way to search for anything, instead you must look through all the tasks by hand.
We have over 1400 Tasks of 1 type to search through.
Desired Result with Operation 2:
To be able to search in the same way of searching other tasks, allowing to filter based on names, setting it to use contains/equals/starts with, and all the other search options provided in other locations.
____
The current work around to both the problems is to have another Tab open, and to use the top right corner, and actually click search, then to copy and paste the Task Number in when Creating/Editing Tasks, but this isn't ideal.
Any advice on how to achieve my desired results,or similar results would be helpful.
Thanks,
Eric Stevens
